These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Planet Computers website, booking system, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By booking a repair, requesting a quote, purchasing products, or using our site, you agree to these Terms.

2) Bookings & diagnostics
- Diagnostics are performed to identify faults. Where deep board-level work is required and you decline the repair, a reasonable bench/diagnostic fee may apply (we’ll confirm upfront).
- Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability and fault complexity.
- We may request a deposit for special-order parts or complex repairs.
3) Quotes & pricing
- Quotes are valid for the period shown on the quote (or 7 calendar days if not specified).
- Prices include VAT where applicable. If additional faults are discovered, we’ll contact you for approval before proceeding.
4) Data, backups & liability
- Please back up your data before handover where possible. While we take great care, hardware can fail unexpectedly; Planet Computers is not liable for data loss.
- Provide any necessary passwords to allow testing (you may set a temporary code). We handle your information per our Privacy Policy.
5) Parts, repairs & warranty
- We use new or high-quality refurbished parts (as quoted). Fitted parts and workmanship typically carry a warranty of 3–12 months depending on the repair and parts used (we’ll state this on your invoice).
- Warranty excludes new physical/liquid damage, misuse, subsequent faults not related to the original repair, and normal battery wear.
6) Payments
- Payment is due on collection unless otherwise agreed. We accept card, EFT, and cash. Devices are released once cleared payment is received.
- Storage fees may apply for devices left uncollected for more than 30 days after completion notice.
7) Collections & uncollected devices
- We’ll notify you when your device is ready. After 90 days from first completion notice, and after reasonable attempts to contact you, the device may be recycled/disposed to recover costs as permitted by law.
8) Trade-ins / sales
- Devices sold or traded to us must be your property and free of finance or liens. You are responsible for removing personal data and accounts before sale/trade.
9) Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Planet Computers is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our maximum liability related to a repair is limited to the amount paid for that repair.
10) Changes to the Services & Terms
We may update our Services or these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
